EBIE: NDDC CANNOT FULFIL ITS MANDATE WITHOUT STRONG PARTNERSHIPS AND STATE GOVERNMENTS’ SUPPORT

The Chairman of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chiedu Ebie, Esq., has emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships and collaboration with the various state governments in the Niger Delta Region in achieving sustainable development across the region.

Speaking at the recently concluded Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit 2026 (NDEIS 2026), Ebie noted that the NDDC cannot effectively fulfil its mandate without the active contributions and support of its development partners and the governments of the Niger Delta states.

He stressed that the scale and complexity of the development challenges facing the region require a collective and coordinated approach, with all stakeholders working together to deliver meaningful and sustainable transformation.

According to him, stronger collaboration among the NDDC, state governments, the private sector, development partners and other key stakeholders is essential to accelerating economic growth, improving infrastructure and creating opportunities for the people of the Niger Delta.

Ebie therefore called for “all hands to be on deck”, urging stakeholders across the region to deepen their partnerships and support initiatives aimed at unlocking the region’s vast economic potential.

He maintained that through genuine collaboration, shared responsibility and coordinated investments, the Niger Delta can achieve the transformation its people have long sought.

The NDEIS 2026 brought together government officials, business leaders, investors, development institutions and other stakeholders to explore investment opportunities and strategies for driving economic growth, innovation and industrial development in the Niger Delta.
